Gundagai Preschool Kindergarten commenced operation in 1969 in St John’s Hall. In 1974 a capital grant was secured and a purpose build service was built. The Preschool was officially opened in November 1975 and has been operating at the present location since. All parents become members of the Preschool Association on completion of the membership payment. 
The preschool is a non-profit charitable community organisation which provides early childhood education for children three years to less than six years.  The preschool requests parent and community support in making children’s lives outside the family home a happy and rewarding one.

• Community Early Learning Australia™ (CELA) - peak body for Australia’s early and middle childhood education sector. Built on tradition and prepared for the future. Their mission is to amplify early learning’s value throughout Australia by informing families, influencing policy-makers, and inspiring educators. They support evidence-based research, grassroots consultation, and common sense action. Providing ECEC services support for community benefit and purpose before profit.
