Management Information

Our community based not for profit Preschool re-invests the profit (surplus) back into the service!

 

The management of the Preschool is the responsibility of the Management Committee , which is comprised of parents of children attending the preschool.  Parents are elected to the management committee at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in November each year.

The Preschool is a non-profit organisation, which is run as a small business.  The committee employs the staff, they are responsible for the annual budget and general management of the service. They assist the Director with staffing and the day to day running of the preschool.

The executive committee operates in compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, the Service Agreement between the Preschool and The Department of Education and Communities. The Policies and Procedures of Gundagai Preschool, and the Constitution of Gundagai Preschool Kindergarten Incorporated (a copy of the Constitution and Policy folder is located in the foyer).

The executive positions are all voluntary and the preschool cannot operate without them being filled.

 Managment Committee Meetings
​The management committee meet once a month to ensure the preschool is managed effectively and are responsible for;

 

  • being approved as providers of early childhood education service

  • employing staff 

  • ensuring the preschool is financially viable and sustainable now and into the future

  • accepting and acquitting funding received

  • compliance with legislation and laws
