Session Information
Gundagai Preschool Kindergarten adheres to the NSW Department of Education school terms. We are closed for school holidays and all public holidays.
A full day programs operates on Monday – Thursday. We follow school hours aschildren are able to arrive and depart on the school buses (families are asked to arrange this directly with bus companies).
Session 1 - Monday and Wednesday
Session 2 - Tuesday and Thursday
A half-day session operates on Friday mornings 9: 00am – 12:00pm. This program is designed to transition children from home life into the preschool environment. Mid-year enrolments are accepted once children turn 3. If your child enrols in the half day Friday session, they remain here for the whole school year.
WHAT WILL YOU SEE ON A VISIT TO PRESCHOOL?

children building new knowledge and skills – for example, they start learning more about numbers, letters and words

children improving their communication and social skills through playing and interacting with other children and educators

children making new friends and developing new relationships with adults outside of their home

children developing physical skills – for example, children learn to balance on play equipment and practise fine motor skills like drawing with a pencil and cutting with scissors

children developing responsibility, independence, confidence and self-worth through doing things like looking after their own belongings and spending time away from home

children getting ready for the transition to school and life transitions after preschool
